Where Jesus' Love is Lived!

Missions Team

The mission efforts of the Otsego United Methodist Church are scripture based on Matthew 25: 35-36, 40. “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” The King will reply, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”

The Mission Team is responsible for organizing the mission endeavors, but the church family takes responsibility for making each of the ventures a success! The current Mission Team consists of Brenda Powers, Char Forbes, Louise Backlund, Sharon Doelker, JoAnn Forbes, Diane Glessner, Amie Hardesty, Joyce Kruithoff, Nyla Merrill, Debbie Rysenga, Lorna Sisson, Stephen Sisson and June Stull. We welcome new members at any time!

Food Resource Bank
The Otsego United Methodist Church partners with First United Methodist Churches of Kalamazoo and Plainwell to carry out the Food Resource Bank project. Monies are donated by the city churches for necessary supplies, then land is donated and farmed by the country churches to raise crops to be sold. The income from the crops are used to help people in less fortunate countries learn how to raise their own food. CROP Walk
